Calling all Princess and the Frog fans! December 9, 2019 is the 10th anniversary of the wide release of The Princess and the Frog, and to celebrate we are putting together a fanzine!
We are looking for 50 artists and/or writers who want to collaborate with us on this project. All profits are being donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank, an organization dedicated to fighting hunger in southern Louisiana.
What they smell like: Good quality leather and bad quality cologne
How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): Despite how big he is, Abel likes to curl up into the smallest ball possible when he sleeps
What music they enjoy: NO MUSIC (but after the ban is lifted, he likes loud music. Nortenos and Rock and anything with a lot of horns)
How much time they spend getting ready every morning: Not too long. He gets dressed, brushes his teeth, shaves, and hit himself with a good dose of body spray and he’s good. (His father keeps trying to nudge him toward a nice aftershave, but he’s adamant.)
Their favorite thing to collect: Little bits of leather he’s cut into shapes, like rabbits and cars. They’re not always recognizable, but he still likes them.
Left or right-handed: Ambidextrous
Religion (if any): Catholic
Favorite sport: FUTBOOOOOOL
Favorite touristy thing to do when traveling (museums, local food, sightseeing, etc): Try out the local food and try his best with flirting with the local girls (the former is always fun and the latter is rarely successful)
Favorite kind of weather: The days just after a heavy rainfall
A weird/obscure fear they have: He will never, ever go near the spot in the shop that his bisabuela died in. He gets chills just thinking about it, even though it was way before he was born.
The carnival/arcade game they always win without fail: The ring toss. He make look bulky and uncoordinated, but if there’s a prize in the deal he is all grace and focus.
Do you ever think of how weird it would be if Mickey Mouse’s name was actually Michael? And how weird it would be if one day Minnie called him “Michael Mouse” because she was upset with him? Because I think about it sometimes.
I have just been informed that Mickey’s full name is “Michael Theodore Mouse”, and that Minnie’s is “Minerva Mouse”. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS INFORMATION, BUT I FEEL LIKE I KNOW SOMETHING FORBIDDEN NOW???
I feel like this is a good time to share the fact that Donald Duck’s middle name is Fauntleroy.
This is like watching an old friend leave the train station for the last time and saying good bye. It’s so saddening but,at least we had some good memories.
This story has brought so much happiness to me in so many ways, and I wanted to make something to celebrate it. Looking forward to the rest of the adventure as it comes.

It’s hilarious watching non-Americans react to this with fear because I read it just nodding along like “yes, in fact this is How Things Are, there you go”
If you ask an American how they are and they respond “Super.” that means they want to die
here’s a picture of a baby cedar waxwing begging for food from a robin. neither of these species are nest parasites, so it’s not possible the cedar waxwing was ‘adopted’. this is essentially the bird version of tapping a random person on the shoulder at the grocery store and going “MOM”
I love that the robin’s body language is basically WHAT THE FUCK WHOSE KID IS THIS
Robin is bathing which make’s it even funnier. More like the equivalent of a strange kid barging in while you’re taking a shower and demanding you make them mac n cheese right now
One year ago, I had emotion at 3 am and then all of this happened.
Ordinarily I wouldn’t get so gushy over a fic, but Teacher!AU’s been such a ride that I feel like I need to have a tiny celebration. I’ve had so much fun, and I feel like I’ve improved so much as a writer, but most importantly I’ve met so many wonderful people with the fandom and made so many friends (especially @im-fairly-whitty who 1) has shown me that co-writers can work marvelously together and more importantly 2) become a wonderful irl friend because of our fic). Seriously, I’ve never had a fic make such an indent on my irl life before, and so I think that’s worth celebrating.
There’s still plenty of story left, so stay tuned! Wit and I have some really exciting stuff coming up in the next few chapters, so you’ll want to catch all that.
And, as always, thank you all so, SO much. For reading, for your support, for your patience when life gets in the way of updates, for all the asks and meta and art and comments and everything you guys do. You’re honestly the reason it’s still going strong, and I appreciate all of you so much.
